To our STEM education community:

The STEM Pipeline Fund, established in Economic Stimulus legislation, aims to increase the number of Massachusetts students who participate in programs that support careers in STEM fields by increasing the number of qualified STEM teachers in the Commonwealth and improving the STEM educational offerings available in public and private schools.

The goals of the Pipeline Fund:

  • to increase the number of Massachusetts students who participate in programs that support careers in fields related to mathematics, science technology, and engineering;
  • to increase the number of qualified science, technology engineering and math teachers in Berkshire County;
  • to improve the science, technology, engineering and mathematic educational offerings available in public an private schools.

The Berkshire Compact for Higher Education Committee released a report outlining the higher education and training needs of the residents and employers of BerkshireCounty as well as strategies to help address those needs.
