"MCLA provides a practical education that challenges students to develop themselves as thinkers, readers, writers, communicators, and problem solvers. Moreover, the MCLA liberal education prepares students for personal and professional success, helping students to comprehend the world and make informed self-directed decisions, preparing them for lives of civic responsibility."

Student Development & Activities

Student Development is committed to the development of the whole student by offering student support services throughout your college experience. Beginning with orientation through graduation there are many areas of involvement and growth. Resources including a First Year Experience Program & Peer Advisors, Class Councils, Clubs and Organizations, Commuter Students Opportunities, Student Leadership Conferences and workshops all help to instill development and value to your MCLA experience.

Check out our What’s Happening Newsletter to see the upcoming events at MCLA. There are many programs and events all week long and continue throughout the weekend. We also have many partnerships with local companies, restaurants and attractions to help you truly appreciate the Berkshires! Posters and banners for campus advertisements are also approved by staff in Student Development and Activities Office located in the Amsler Campus Center 309/310.

Student Development and Activities also processes all campus events.

Staff strives to improve the quality of campus life through the cultivation of student-staff partnerships based on mutual trust, responsibility and high expectation. Students are challenged to be activists, taking responsibility for their community, and they are empowered by involvement in campus leadership and governance. We honor enthusiasm, effort, and excellence and we have fun with our work.
