NORTH ADAMS, MA – The Berkshire Environmental Resource Center (BERC) at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will continue its series of 14 “Green Living” seminars on Thursday, March 27, at 5:30 p.m.
with “Benefits, Drawbacks, and Challenges of Incorporating Biodiesel in a Combination of Sustainable Energies,” in Murdock Hall room 218.
The series, “Achieving Energy Sustainability for the 21st Century: Choices and Challenges,” is free and open to the public.
The executive vice president of Berkshire Biodiesel, Lee Harrison, will lead the discussion on the aspects of using biodiesel as an energy source. He leads the state government relations and marketing programs and provides assistance with national grant procurement.
Harrison offers more than 25 years of experience over a range of companies and industries, including firms such as Bechtel Corporation, Business Week magazine, and the Electric Power Research Institute. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Northeastern University and a master’s in journalism from Columbia University.
The Green Living series aims to inform students and the community about strategies for meeting our growing demand for energy and to encourage debate around several energy options, including those involving water, wind, hydrogen and nuclear power. The series will continue on Thursdays through April 24 in Murdock Hall conference room 218 at MCLA.
