Commonwealth Undergraduate Conference,
April 25 (Monday),
Campus Center, UMass/Boston
The Commonwealth Honors Program holds an Undergraduate Conference every spring where students from all Commonwealth campuses gather to present the results of their scholarly work. Mass College Honors Program has been very well represented at in every one of these statewide events. The 11th Undergraduate Conference will be held on April 25th at UMass/Boston. The Honors program has been actively seeking good student work for presentation. The on-campus deadline for submitting a proposal is March 3rd.

National College Honors Council National Conference, 2004
Every fall, the National Collegiate Honors Council -- a national organization of honors programs to which MCLA belongs -- holds its national conference, and Mass College encourages students to attend and to make presentations there. The college tries to subsidize students who are making presentations, and otherwise defray their expenses as necessary.
"Bridging Currents and Cultures," the 2004 annual conference, was held in New Orleans during November, 2003. The national conference for 2004 will be held in New Orleans, and its theme will be "Bridging Currents and Cultures." As soon as further information is available, we will post it here.
One new wrinkle for the 2004 national conference is that all student research presentations must be in poster-session format. So, give some thought to a research projects you have undertaken that concentrate on New Orleans as a site for establishing bridges between cultures.
Students who with to apply to make presentations should contact Prof. Langston as soon as possible about the range of topics for the conference.... or you may visit the website below.

Honors Semester
Organized by the NCHC, an Honors semester allows Honor students from

transferable college credit and combine field studies, research,
internships, seminars and a carefully planned living-learning
environment that fully exploits the resources of the semester's
