Chemistry
Students graduating with a minor in chemistry will be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic principles and theories in analytical, organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. This will allow students to increase their career options by persuing formal study and training in chemistry. While the minor has broad applications, it is particulary well-suited for both biology and physics majors, pre-med students and pre-law students who are considering patent law as a career. The Department would like to congratulate:
Carloyn Cook '08 For successfully defending her Commonwealth Scholar Thesis entitled: "The Design and Synthesis of Non-C2 Symmetric Ligands for Metal-Mediated Asymmetric Catalysis"
Congratulations to the Class of '08 Chemistry Minors: Carolyn Cook, Steven Fikes, Tim O'Neill and, Michelle Potash Chairperson: David Levine
