"Transferring to MCLA was one of the greatest decisions I ever made. Being able to learn from and connect with the faculty and staff equipped me with greater networking capabilities/skills and the opportunity to use them outside of the institution, preparing me for the road ahead. Taking part and engaging in different clubs and organizations on campus helped to shape and guide me for countless opportunities."

A Prime Location: The Beautiful Historic Berkshire Hills
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts has the good fortune of being located in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts, one of the most scenic, historic, and culturally rich areas in America. Situated in North Adams, a city of about 15,500 in the northwest corner of Berkshire County, we are close to the Vermont and New York borders and also within a three-hour drive of Boston and New York City. Long a destination for vacationers, tourists, and second-home owners, the Berkshires offer an interesting mix of rustic charm and cosmopolitan sophistication.

Culture and History
The Berkshires offer an enormous array of cultural venues. The Norman Rockwell Museum, the historic homes of writers Herman Melville, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Edith Wharton, and Chesterwood (home and studio of sculptor Daniel Chester French) are just a few local sites of interest. You'll find notable fine and performing arts centers such as the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute and Williams College Museum of Art (both just minutes from campus), Tanglewood Music Festival (summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra), Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. In addition, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) is within a two-minute drive from campus. You'll find all of these resources to be a valuable complement to your conferencing experience.
