B-HIP
B-HIP the Class B-HIP- the class- gives interns an opportunity to absorb and evaluate all they have learned on-site and on location. The mixture of theory and practice come together in a class designed for reflection and analysis. The class aims to support students’ exposure to and involvement with higher-level issues in arts management and to gain an understanding of how these adminsitrative areas work together in the day-to-day management of a cultural institution. Issues discussed include program planning, marketing, audience development, fundraising, and more. The class is taught by arts management professor Lauren O'Neal, and Jonathan Secor, Director of Special Programs at MCLA. Preview last semester's syllabus.
