B-HIP

World-Class Arts Management Training in the Berkshires

 

The Berkshire Hills Internship Program (B-HIP) is an intensive arts management internship program that combines hands-on work experience with classes taught by arts administration faculty, talkbacks with the area’s leading arts professionals and the chance to fully participate in cultural events throughout Berkshire County in western Massachusetts. B-HIP offers interns educational and career advancement opportunities that are hard to find elsewhere.

Where are interns placed?

Interns from across the country are placed at full-time upper-level internships where they have the opportunity to work in countless administrative capacities including, but not limited to:

Performing Arts Management

Are there classes involved?

Yes. The classes that B-HIP provides are wonderful opportunities to learn the theory behind the practice of arts management. Classes allow the interns time to reflect on their wok experience in addition to offering interns the chance to ask questions and learn in an academic environment. What are talkbacks?

The talkback portion of B-HIP gives the interns the chance to meet, network with and learn from top-level arts management professionals in the Berkshires.
